Any special requirement for food? I feed my tank sinking pellets so there is always something on the bottom of the tank. I love these Guys and if there is some kind of treat for them I'd like to get them something.

If your talking about sinking algea wafers, then thats what I feed my clowns in addition to flakes. If your talking about shrip pellets, then mine down touch them. They prefer the other 2.

The clown loaches I had in the past, loved blood worms.

N8Dogg,
This is a post that I posted for plecs but it does apply to clowns as well....
"You could also try alternative food sources, most pleco's enjoy veggies, so lightly blanch some cucumber / zuccini or if you can be bothered de-skinned peas. You can get veggie clips to hold it near the bottom of the tank or alternatively I used a plastic fork with the prongs facing down then secured it under a rock."
Veggies used to go down a treat, especially the cucumber, you could actually here them clicking away as they were eating it.... :D

Mine enjoy Bloodworms,Shrimp pellets, standard flakes, algea wafers, and tubefex worms(dunno spelling)

I have yet to find a fish related food my clowns wont eat- these include:

Nutrafin Flake
Spirulina Flake and sticks
Hikari Sinking Wafer and Algae Wafers
FD and Frozen Bloodworms
Frozen Mysis Shrimp
FD Plankton
Earthworm sticks
Zuchini- they shred the slices.
Live Red Worms (had one snatch one from hand while feeding discus)
Frozen Brine Shrimp
Live Snails (they often snatch them mid water before they can land)

I even caught one trying to dial out for Dominos..........

My clown loaches favorite treat is Hikari Sinking Wafers, I also give them mealworms, cut up nightcrawlers and smaller earthworms, boiled slice of cucumber, minced fresh lettuce and chopped up peas. they also love the staples like flakes and cichlid pellets.

thanks for all the info. I ust bought some Hikari Sinking Wafers. I think they like them I put a few in and they were gone shortly after that, but the other fish could have eaten them. I'll try some other things also. I love these guys I'm gonna have a nice herd of them when I get the 225.
