Clown Loach has a sunken side?

Thanks for the advice but I think I'm definitely on the right track

She has some whitish looking flesh that seems to be building up where her sunken side was...they're on a high protein diet and veggies every sunday

The reason i'm 95% sure it's bacterial and not an internal parasite is simply because parasites wouldn't station themselves where there isn't a constant food supply

The fact that her sunken side extends from her belly (which is fully in tact and very full) to her tail fin

I think it's a very safe bet to say a parasite wouldn't get the nutrients it would need to sustain itself positioned in a place where there is no food intake whatsoever

And she is slowly starting to fill out...her buddy has recovered extremely fast but his case was not as severe as the bigger girl

I think the whitish looking flesh I'm seeing under her skin is the mass starting to rebuild slowly

Are there any other high protein foods I should get to speed up her recovery?

Other than the obvious frozen bloodworms...would white bait be a good option?

Thank you all for your help / opinions

I think we can say this is a successful recovery but I won't count my eggs before they hatch

Sincerely,
Taylor

I'm actually in the midst of making a new thread to ask about their behaviour lol

Funny you just mentioned that

I do have garlic guard also and I will try to soak their food tomorrow morning...I mean the garlic can't hurt right? it can only benefit them in every possible way

good idea and thank you
