Clown Loach outgrow tank?

Just out of curiosity, where do you put a 1850g aquarium? What do you have in it? what is your filtration like? Do you have pictures? And did you purchase or construct it?

I constructed it with concrete and one big acrylic panel. It is placed in the wall of my living room. Filter is a algae scrubber and overflow style biological filter. Mainly cichlids and catfish with tinfoil barbs ect. to many to name. Pics are comming. :)

also if you stunt clown loaches for generations and breed them, would you have mini clown loaches?

No--inherited traits are based on genetic material, which wouldn't be affected in this example, not the traits of the parents. Only if you kept them in a large environment and selectively bred the smaller ones. Plus, good luck breeding loaches :)

those halides would make me cringe too. I bet your electricity bill just for your halides is about comparable to my electricity bill during spring/fall!!!!! what are the dimentions on the 1850 gallon and how thick is the acrylic??? You should really get a member tank page so the rest of us can drool and only wish. I tell my wife that my tanks water humidifies the air in the dry winter and provides stress relieving running water sounds for free!!!!! Whenever I try to tell her the benefits of aquariums the conversation usually ends in "Why did I marry such a nerd?" I personally take it as a complement!

I have such total tank envy now. Is your house totally humid? Do you access everything from another room? Were you scared you were going to screw up building it and have a big block of concrete in the middle of your house?
