clown loach questions

i just got 5 of these guys thay are about 1 and half inchs, really hyper little guys always schooling around looking for trouble from what I have seen so far. I also have a 72G ill let you know how it go's(I know in a few years thay can get really big BTW)

Okay this is weird, I just bought some clown loaches too, lol.

I got 3 last weekend, and I was happy with them. I got them to eat but they weren't very keen on venturing out of their cave while I was in the room. So this weekend I bought 4 more, and now at least 5 of them are out all the time, and when I feed them, all 7 come out.

They really like the high water flow in the back of the tank. Several of them will swim in the current together and then dog pile in a corner. It's funny to see them swimming so vigorously and then just relax their bodies and let the flow take them.

Good luck with your fish,
Serg

im part of the club, i have two 1 inchers and i love them. they do not hide much, but im heavy planted and they like the cover.

with their slow growth it gives me time to upgrade tanks and places to live. i have a 55 galllon in my 1 bedroom apartment.

clown loach trouble

I have 4 clown loaches in a 45 gallon tank they are all small and the same size. One of the clown loaches looks very pale and not as bright as the other fish. Is he sick and if he is what should i do. He is however active and swims with the other fish im confused i just making sure that he is ok. Anybody Know why he is not as bright as the other fish?

a 7 inch clown loach is way to big for a 55 gallon get him a bigger tank. atleast a 75 gallon a 100 + gallon if you can. or if you would like in about a month and a half i could put him in my 235 gallon  haha. just try to get a bigger tank he deseres it

welcome to AC dont worry they can get very pale and the next day be bright. try feeding him some frozen brine shrimp it will brighten up their color.
