I have a maroon clown which has hosted my Zoa's for the last 2 months before that my colt coral. Before that was not taking to anything. They will also host frogspawn corals, maybe all in that group or corals. Several types of damsel fish will host not only the clown, which is a damsel fish.

clowns have been known to host in just about any soft coral you can name. they host because it makes them feel protected. when a clown hosts in an anemone the clown benefits by other fish staying away from the anemone because it would eat them and the anemone benefits by the clown bringing back bits of food to it when they eat.

Most clowns have no clue what an anem is . The anems are for the most part pretty hard to keep alive and the clowns won't hurt most softies if they host in them. That's not always the case for lps but, that's another story.
