hey...

I used to keep fish a few years ago with much success, but I had to move and gave up the hobby for a while. Anyways I finnally decided to come back and bought a 20 gallon long the other day. I just set it up a couple of hours ago but have no clue what to put in it.... (once it's cycled of course) I just wanted some opinions on what would be interesting. (keep in mind i'm not very interested in small starter fish)

20 gallon long
7.2 - 7.4 pH

a couple o' pics

here are a couple of pics of the tank.... as you can see i designed it to be as real and natural as possible. I prefer the fish to add the color and life (not the decorations)

I personally like the mollies and platies because you can get a variety of colors. Also if you keep them, keep 1 male to atleast 3 females and if the conditions are right they will reproduce giving you babies (fry). I have different types of mollies, the sword and the lyre fin, they will interbreed so you never know whether the fry will be sword or lyre, but that's part of the waiting :)

The platies have a shorter body but are just as pretty in colors as the molies.

Just my two cents worth.
