CO2 adjusting questions and dropping kh

I am a touch lost and am trying to get a grasp on adding co2...at the moment I have a 90g with a moderately planted tank (about 2 weeks old on the plants). I have fully cycled the tank without fish and just added fish yesterday. I have been monitoring co2 seriously today to adjust in. At the moment I have bubbles at about 1 per sec....(I am sure I am losing alot due to overflow filter). But as I have added co2 I havent noticed a big drop in ph (from 7.8 to 7.4). The part I dont understand is my buffering ability has seemed to drop. I was yesterday at a steady 5 on kh and now have dropped to around 3. Is this normal and just need to speed up bubble count?
Oh and if it matters at all it is a pressurized co2 system.

a lot of people rate is 2-3 bubbles per sec. with a overflow filter your prob going to have to add a lot more. at lest your doing it right turning it up a little at a time.
