do i need to use CO2 in my situation, all i have is one pot of dwarf hairgrass to plant? would i need to use nutrieants even though my tank is pretty well stocked with fish?

and is gravel suitable for hairgrass, how about tahitian moon sand?

:bowing: please help a noob into a new world :bowing:

thanks for any and all responds.

(IMO) gravels almost too big & sands a tad too small.I wouldn't use cO2 or nutrients. Ide go with sand as ive seen lawns of dwarf hairgrass growing in a thin sandy substrate.Maybe the finest gravel above sand,GL I have it growing in mucky sand & in gravel without any co2 or nutrients. The fish should provide what they need as long as you don't have a whirlpool of turbulance as ive never seen this in fast moveing water, only still spots in my tank ,refugium,or lake shallows. never seen it in a river!
