So I am just setting up my co2 DIY system. I added my check valve and when I blow through the line, I cannot even come close to getting any air movement through the check valve. If my lungs cannot blow air, my DIY system wont be able to. Do check valves only work with a TON of pressure?

No, but they only blow through in one direction. Did you turn it around and try blowing in the other side. There might even be an arrow indicating flow direction.

Are you a heavy smoker? Just kidding. I remember when I set up a check valve on my CO2 system, there was an arrow printed on the valve itself. When I tried to blow through it using my own breath, it wasn't easy but I COULD do it. I agree that your DIY system won't have nearly enough pressure to work with that valve. My next suggestion would be to try that valve using some airline tubing and an air pump if you have one around. See if the air pump can pressure it past the valve.

ok I tried hooking a air pump up to it, and no bubbles. It must be a falty valve because it must be completely closed up.

You never did say if the valve had a direction arrow on it. Before you throw it out, take a toothpick and gently insert it into the valve. I believe the "valve" is nothing more than a rubber diaphragm flap, designed to "flap" in only one direction. See if you can gently loosen up the rubber flap with a little push on with the toothpick and then try it again with the airpump. If that doesn't work its time for a new valve.

Ok i just took the thing back to the store and got a new one. The new one works great. Now I just need to get a perfect co2 mixture in my 2L bottle. This is my first attempt at co2. Wish me good luck. And yes, it does have a arrow lol.
