I was wondering about sugestions for a co2 injector for my 90 gallon tank. The guy at the pet store told me that the ones they sell (hagen) that I would need 4 of them for a tank of my size. Is that right and don't they make larger models? Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated

IMO if you are going to be making the jump from a consumer tank to a serious tank you can more or less totally forget 90% of the products at your LFS… I’m not too sure which unit you are talking about specifically; but my guess is that it is a basic ladder/spiral staircase design. In which case then it is very likely you will not be able to reach maximum saturation with only one of these diffusers.
There is a lot of debate over just what the BEST out there is; there are some very expensive units from Japan, there is some VERY expensive equipment out there that is used in the lab for scientific experimentation etc… Along with whatever the special at the LFS is (which IME is usually crap) Iv just recently set my 90 up fooled around with a few ideas but finally settled on this: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70824

Couldn’t be happier, my plants are bubbling up a storm, to the point that Im getting surface agitation! and the solution was cheep cheep cheep! needs no maintaining And as far as I can tell 100% efficient; which is more than can be said for some of the more pricy options out there….

Hope that helps!
