I tried both DIY co2 and excel, separately, and together.. the DIY co2 alone yielded the best results in my tank. :) and when i say best results, i mean vals that grew 2-4 inches per DAY, pennywort that grew an inch every 2 days, moneywort that took over the top of the tank like anacharis, etc etc.. my tank, with DIY co2, went from moderately planted to jungle in less than a month.

I'll stick with Excel for now, even though it's more expensive in the long run. After reading a recent horror story here about someone's tank getting wiped out from a faulty CO2 set-up, no way I'm trying that.

EXCELL

I prefer slow-medium growth anyway lol. I do not want to be trimming too much especially when I don't even have the tools and all but i got my bare hands.....

I use both . On my 120 it's high light (co2 and excel) my 125 is low light (just excel).

also, does this stuff harm my moss? or other plants? I think i have cryps also. I am not sure what plants I have LOL! I do use iexcel, but only add 2 times a week.

use it once a day, wait a day, use it again
