I have a 30 gal and 55 gal that I've converted into planted aquariums a year ago. I've been learning how to make my plants thrive and it's been a long experience. I'm getting some more powerful lighting soon, but I'm loking at CO2 systems.
I've seen this new CO2 system called Carbo-Plus. This bad boy uses electrolysis on a carbon block to create a stream of CO2 bubbles. It comes with it's own gauages and timers so it can be set for any aqaurium up to 150 gals. So I was curious if anyone had any experience with these? I like this model because it doesn't require fill up for CO2 tanks, and less hardware is needed to have a proper flow, but I'd like some imput towards this. Also any other brands and types you guys would like to reccomend would be greatly appreciated.

If you look at the various plant boards you will find info on these. My take is that they work in smaller tanks. I would think a 55 gallon is larger than they could support. Also, you DO have to replace the "block" periodically.

If you decide to look further into pressurized co2, take a look at my web site. YOu can see what I use, and alternatives for regulators and needle/metering valves. I also have info on alternative low cost sources of supply.

Good luck!
