Why aren't CO2 tabs or CO2 liquid supplements enough for plants that need high CO2? Why do you need to get a who injector system?

And how doesn't the CO2 hurt the fish? Isn't it just pollution to them?

tabs dont work because once they are up your back to nothing

Isn't that kind of like saying that once your CO2 tank is used up you're back to nothing?

true got it , got to keep injecting to keep levels up

its about precision and consistency. The only thing currently that offers both, co2 wise, is a pressurized system. Tabs could cause fluctuations and Excel can be costly on larger tanks.

CO2 tabs do not provide high enough levels of co2, additionally they do not maintain consistent levels. Low CO2 and/or fluctuating co2 promotes algae.

Liquid co2 supplements do not exist. Carbon supplements exist, but they are not co2. Carbon from liquid supplements is not as easily processed by the plants, and therefore under high light conditions leads to deficiency because the plants are trying to grow faster than they can process they carbon supplement.

CO2 is only poisonous at certain levels. We keep the co2 below that level.

That is true, but most people keep any eye on their co2 tank, and know when it needs refilling. At most, you are only down a day, and when you are you cut backt the lights. If you don't, you'll have a large amount of algae. Many people keep an extra tank and are able to swap it out with only a few minutes down time.

Additionally, co2 tanks last months, up to a year(depending on how big the aquarium is and how big the co2 cylinder is). CO2 tabs last only a matter of days.
