cold water tank ideas

My vote for the white clouds, they are the coolest and are a very hardy cold water fish. Maybe, you could do a betta and a couple of white clouds? I think that would be a really neat tank.

Yeah I have a crowntail betta and 5 white cloud minnows. I think he tries to eat them sometimes when they're sleeping but they're too fast for him lol. Now he doesn't bug them anymore cuz he can't catch them

I wouldn't put any danio in a 10gallon tank...lol.....I had them...once....I'll never get those fish again ! They drove me nuts with thier constant darting around, and the other fish in the tank had a hard time competeing for the food, they were so fast !

White cloud minnows are nice....I have one...lol...he was an accidental bonus when I picked up a batch of panda cories. I'm at the limit in that tank so not too keen on tossing anymore fish in to get him any buddies..oh well...but a very nice looking, well behaved little fish it is !

I'd get some of those and maybe some endlers if you can find them. The males are VERY colorful and they breed like rabbits. You son would enjoy watching all the babies grow and can maybe even make a few bucks taking the extras down to the LFS......just a thought...

emg.. can you please post some pictures of your threadfins? close ups if possible, my husband is interested in breeding them.
