Coldwater Pleco?

well during the day this time of year its the hottest so it gets to about 24 c, and it will probably get colder during the winter months not quite sure what it goes down to as the tank is newly set up.

a pleco might "clean up" the algae that is growing.. but it can get to be a foot or two long (over half of a meter)

and its VERY messy.. so unless you're looking forward to vaccuuming the gravel nearly daily, i'd wouldnt suggest it.

Plecos can do fine in coldwater aquariums, however the only thing is they are not pond fish. Far too many people think they can over-winter Plecos in ponds but in reality, they shouldn't be in water under 55 degrees F.

Good. I will probaly be tearing down my 20 gallon tank once I have cured the unfortunate case of Ich that I hope I am nearly done with. The plecos will probaly wind up in whatever I buy/build to put Koi in (it'll be indoors whatever it is).
