Coloration of a betta?

Tinkerbell, I too have the same issue with mine. I didn't think that it has been there since I have had him (about 3-4 months) but the rest of his color is fine and the same as it has always been! I think keeping a close eye on him is the best thing for now. I've grown really attached to mine, much more so than my other fish, so I think I might just be paranoid (plus he's the first betta I've ever had)

This is my first betta too. My sister had 2 in a 5 gallon tank with a divider...and they would swim around and puff up at each other. She had them for like 5 years it was crazy. The white is mainly where I would consider his throat and is maybe an inch in length (I don't know). I try to keep a close eye on him and I'm thinking about taking the plastic plant out (as suggested) when I get him a new aquarium and replace it with a silk plant... the one i have him in now cracked because it's in my bathroom and i don't think it is glass...it's such a small aquarium that I think it's plastic or something. =( Tanks are so expensive these days...grr...

I gave purple some brine shrimp last night...he loves it! I thaw it out in warm water though b/c they like it a little more room temp. than cold. I also only feed him every other day (they don't need to eat everyday) I was told. I wish I had more time to do fish research but I'm in school so much! and I study like 80 hours a week. It's insane.
Hope everyone is having a good week and thanks for all the replies. Much help! Thank you thank you.
