Combining tanks

could i combine two fish tanks to make a larger fish tank by cutting a hole in the side of both and connecting them via a tube about 2" in diameter?

how are you going to drill it?

you might want a glass comp. do it for you.

Just my opinion, but why? If you like the tube idea, go for it.


But for less than the cost, you could simply buy a bigger tank. It'll be fairly expensive to have a professional do this.

they make drills for glass so i figured it would just take some time, a glass drill, water tight silicone, and a very durable piece of tube or pipeing.
