Does he HAVE to go to a tank? What about a backyard pond? You're in SoCal, ponds are year-round. You could post on craiglist looking for a home for him....pond OR tank; with the condition that you have to approve it first. That way you wouldnt have to ship him....and might even be able to stop and visit.

He is pretty. I just gave all of my comets away to other area ponders so that I could focus on the Shubunkins instead. I have a 1,000 gal backyard pond with shubs in it. They are sleeping right now. Too cold to do anything else. It was 10 when I left work at 4:30.

Haha, paperdragon, I already have one watonai! Little Wrench is from Steve over at raingarden, and he's absolutely wonderful. If I could I'd get 10 more, they're such a pretty variety.

kj, he can certainly go to a pond. I would rather he go to an experienced aquarist, though, and there were a few people here on AC that expressed interest in the babies when I was posting about them in the coldwater sticky. So I figured I'd offer him here first. :)

Heh, did a search to make sure you weren't holding out on us for goldie pics, but I found the thread. Wrench is a pretty one, and the baby pic of sprocket in that thread is adorable.

I need to get myself a 300g tank. :)

I've sent a pm for Sprocket and we've confirmed the arrangements. Sprocket has a new home -- and I couldn't be happier.

:goldfish:

Thank you, Flaring. He's such a handsome fella. And there'll be plenty of room for Alexei in my 110 gallon tank, so they can both stay together.
