I am not sure, but it may be a long finned BN. I'm judging by the dark coloration &, well, the very long tail, lol.

How long is it nose to "meaty" part of it's tail?

I haven't seen long finned "common" plecos, not that they might not exist, but I haven't seen them.

Oh, I'm sorry, you did post it's size! I was cooking dinner & not reading very well.

Long finned BN is my best ID. I have a L144 female (similar gold BN variety but not long fins) & just love her. Like yours, she is always active & "out there" at all times.

Beside the long fins (they don't really count for measuring length), call it a 4 or 5 inch fish. It'll be fine in a very lightly stocked 20 (long) or larger tank.

What tanks do you have? I like that you have live plants in your small tank! I'm a plant nut, lol.

A healthy looking little BN too!

I started with a pair 2yrs ago from a LFS and now have maybe 10-12? Very wise in keeping 1.

Oh! Frogs are NOT community animals! I haven't kept them for that reason (& I just don't like them enough to devote a tank to them). Loaches are my favs & in 55g you could have a school (or shoal) of several of a smaller species & the BN...or 8-10 corys & the BN. Plus a school of small rasboras or tetras. & maybe a pearl gourami...

Wait until you move to decide, you got some time it sounds like. But nothing wrong with some research in the meantime
