Thanks for that Daniel. That would make the tank 356.4 litres/ 91.62 gallons.
RiVerfishgirl - Thankyou for the suggestions. I am thinking that I might get a few of the cory's. I've always liked watching them go about thier business.
I'd probably be too worried about the rams killing off all the guppies. They are my daughters pride and joy (she's only six) and she's been keeping them for over a year.
I'm not sure about the hatchetfish. They look pretty interesting but from all I've read they are likely to jump out of the tank if my daughter fed them and forgot to put the lid back down. Also, I'm in Australia, so it's summer here at the moment and I sometimes have to leave the lid open to stop the tank from heating up.
At the moment I'm leaning towards
10 guppies
10 tetras
5 corycats
1 bristlenose
2 flying foxes
and something interesting for in the middle level
How much more would I be able to put in before overstocking?
Any more ideas for a mid level fish?
Thanks all
