Does anybody know if they make a compact fluoresent light bulb that screws into an existing incandescent socket that is in the plant growing range(5000-6500K)? I called GE and the lady said they didn't make anything in that range.

Also try this link.Mopst screw ins will take up to 15 watts, So with two bulbs you could be kicking 30 watts over your ten gallon. Should be able to grow some nice plants in there with a bit of co2

The 5k bulbs will work fine.
