I have already thought of a way to improve it. By attaching a shelf to the wall, it would hide the track by being mounted vertically, and allow the lights to be moved closer to the front of the tank, plus the top could be used for some decorative objects, like pictures or a clock, big cans of fish food, or a stuffed alligator. Heheh
The best part is being able to remove the glass tops and still having light to see what you are doing down there. Always hated to take a lighted hood off and have to turn on all the lights in the room to be able to see the bottom, then not very good when the silt starts swirling around. Never knew what it looked like until you put the hood back on, stepped back and... crap, theres a dead leaf...
those are cool lights. i actually like these "spotlights" more than regular flourescent tubes. they look more dramatic with lighter and dim areas in the tank.
