I'm picking up a new 33gallon tank on Sunday. I'll be moving my 2 pool comets into it once it's set up. (I'm aware that we will need to upsize again.) Is there any compatible fish that i can keep with them? Are rosy reds a possibility? Any idea on bottom dwellers? Thanks, I'm trying to start my research way ahead of time. Love and fishes,Shiloh

you shouldn't add anything else with them until you can get a full-size tank.

I agree with the above, but just as a long-term thing: yes, you can keep rosies with goldfish. Suitable bottom-dwellers include dojo loaches, large darters, and madtoms.

Mosquito fish or rosy reds will work with goldfish, as long as the tank is large enough and the fish can't eat the other fish.

Just a note: mosquitofish can be fin-nippers, so don't keep them with long-finned goldfish varieties. The mosquitofish may also harass or kill juvenile goldfish. They're vicious little things!
