My tank is now fully cycled. I have added 3 female guppies to the mollie, cory and 2 danios. My question is what kind of fish would be a nice addition (something a bit bigger). I also like the red eye tetras and black skirt tetras but I am reading conflicting information on them (can be with livebearers, should not be with livebearers).

ammonia 0ppm
nitrites 0ppm
nitrates 10ppm
20g tank

Thanks to everybody who has responded to my questions. I have learned so much here and any success with my tank will be thanks to you all and this sight!!! VERY informative!!!

First off, glad to hear your tank is ready to go! You'll want to add fish slowly so your beneficial bacteria can keep up. Both corys and danios are schooling fish. What kind of danios have you got? Zebra, probably? Both of those types of fish should be in schools of at least 5. What kind of corys have you got? Hopefully a smaller type such as pandas.

I agree with Damodred. You're better off adding to the existing groups, especially the cories and danios, than introducing any additional species.

lots of fish to choose from , but myself might add a smaller variety pleco. down the road when tank is more mature, always myself had to have mickey mouse platy.

Pleco in a 20g... thats like putting a baby viking in a VW bug. Sure he's small now and fits, but what about down the line, even a small breed pleco will grow to what? 6 inches long or more?

YES the BN plecos are awesome !! they will need a established tank . I say add some ember tetras, these are nano fish, so you can add schools of each, and still have room for the plecos down the road !!! and yes is you have a male molly, be careful, they are train' able, but they will nip at fins of pretty fish with long fins. if you want to breed the gups get a male, one male per 3 ladies is fine . and the molly would probaly like 3 females ...LOL well then you would have a breeding tank . I say what is it YOU want . IF YOU just want a bigger fish , put in a betta, female or male not both . um maybye a drawf goarmi ? I may be wrong but I belive they do fine in a commuinty tank . the platys get a nice size . you could get other colors. I woyuld DEF get atleast 2 more corys for yours. they LOVE to have atleast 3 to play together , they are too cute !!
