I was wondering if anyone can tell me if a Lima Shovelnose Catfish or a Peacock Eel would be compatible with the fish in my 55 gal, and if my 55 would be big enough for either of them, AND if there's actually enough room to put one in with all of the other fish (or if I have too many fish in there already)? It should be in my sig, but I have four adult OB Zebra's, three possible OB zebra mutts (they are about an inch to an inch and a half), plus two pecos and four raphael catfish. Oh, and about 15 fry to one of the female OB's, but I am not keeping them. One of the juvies looks like an OB already, but the other two look like they have stripes, and I don't know if that's just because they are young, or if they are mutts. I do know that the adults are all straight OB zebra's, though. Beautiful fish, I would like to add.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Daisy

Not sure about the catfish but the peacock eel will only reach between 7 and 8 inches. Since they are not aggressive and have little mouths they cannot defend themselves against larger fish. They also need live food but can be conditioned to eat frozen worms. So long as the other fish aren't aggresive and there are enough spots to hide I think it would be ok.

OK. So the lima is definitely out of the question. Thanks.

My OB's are aggressive, but towards each other. I don't see them chasing the catfish or pleco's unless it's time to eat, then they chase them away, but that's basically it.

Thanks for the quick answers.
