completely remodeling my tank

My 55g discus tank looks pretty bad. as of now I'm posting what it looks like. so far i took everything out and tried to put my driftwood back, but it's just not drowning. i'll post that pic later. so, here is the start. please help with ideas. but i'm going BB for now.

yeah clear bottom is the way to go for discus.
