i'll try white background, maybe light blue later. i don't really care about the peppering, but i don't like too dark of a background. i was wondering if i go BB should i pot plants? i'm thinking just attaching them to the driftwood. some of the plants look really bad. anubias with small lieves haven's been growing lieves bigger than super tiny. interesting though that those were the only plants not burred in the gravel. will they all start looking bad if i don't pot them or can they do without? i do have special black soil for plants, but because it's black, i haven't used it for few years.
personally, unless I had some Juvi discus, I would have kept the substrate..
And they say that black backgrounds arent good for discus because it can lead to peppering.. ( I have a black background)
try to tie some rocks or something to that driftwood. Mines been in th etank for a year, and still doesn't want to sink.
taking gravel out was really bad idea because it caused discus to stress badly. i'm not going to play with gravel for a while because of that. they hate remodeling. i really hope my driftwoon will drown soon. i used it before and it does stay down, but i let it dry up because i put discus in a smaller tank and didn't think driftwood will fit. few days ago i measured the wood and it does fit, just sideways
