I got my new monitor today. :D Its the Gateway 24" 1920x1200 HD monitor. Vibrant colors, crisp images, and with 3ms response time, my fps's and basically anything I can throw at it look amazing. Running Crysis at 1920x1200 was amazing... never thought the game would look that good. I sold my old monitor, Samsung 204B (1600x1200 res) to my best friend for $225. Picked up the new one for $500 on sale at fry's electronics. Oh, and for those of you who really are tech savvy... this is for you. :-)

AMD X2 6000+ CPU (dual core, 3.0ghz/core)
Abit KN9 SLI Motherboard
4GB Patriot DDR2 6400 RAM @ 4-4-4-12
2x Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS 320mb graphics cards running in SLI
Thermaltake Toughpower 850 watt PSU
160GB Maxtor 7200 RPM Sata 3.0 main HDD
500GB Maxtor 7200 RPM Sata 3.0 storage HDD
Silverstone case (forgot the model number, its massive)

Bahahaha... no no no... the monitor was $500. :-P I built the pc a while ago... I've spent closer to $1300 on the tower, and $500 on the monitor. So for the whole package, $1800. :silly:

Haha... considered it, but the one I got was on sale, so I figured "heck, I'll just put the money into something else."

I'd love to have a $2k salt water tank... I'd have a gorgeous reef to watch. It'd probably pull me away from my computer time. :silly: I got my girlfriend into being a gamer, and for x-mas, I built her a new pc....

2GB PC6400 ram
320GB WD Caviar HDD
Raidmax Sirius case
Geforce 8800GTS 512MB (she bought this one)
750 watt psu (she's buying this one today)

She can't wait to get her rig running... she got her new monitor from her dad for x-mas too. Samsung Syncmaster 204B. (1600x1200 native res)

Soon she won't be as envious of my pc. :silly::silly::silly::silly:

Generally they're in the same room. I have my pc in the other room for the time being because my gf and I have been staying up late gaming a lot, and its easier to fit a full size table in the rumpus room than it is to fit it in my bedroom with a fullsize desk, queen size bed, 2 bookshelves, a large dresser, and a 55g fish tank. :P
