Here is a little tip for those amongst us who never really restart your computer unless neccesary..What this will do is clear out idle tasks and processes that are running in the background and will release tied up memory..

1. Right click on an empty spot on your desktop and select New - Shortcut.

2. Type (without quotation marks) "%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks" in the box.

3. Click Next.

4. Give your shortcut a nice name like “Clear Memory”.

5. Click Finish and you’re done.

Tested and works fine on Windows 2000, XP and Vista..

I'f i'm not mistaken, that clears the RAM, which gets around a cold boot of the computer (which can be timely for some people)

Your not mistaken, it does...and yes, it also gets around having the need for a re-boot...

heh.. i havent practiced the expertise of computer knowledge in some years.. i was checking it. ;) turns out i'm rustier than i thought... and a little behind in technology.
