Computer Savy?

People are changing Vista to look like XP? I'm already changing XP to look like 2000. I think I might be in trouble.

- Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) IMHO: Oops!
- Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor T7700 (2.40 GHz, 4 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
- 15.4" WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)
- 2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
- 383MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
- HP Imprint (Radiance) + Fingerprint Reader + Webcam + Microphone
- Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
- 120GB 5400RPM
- LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW with Double Layer Support
Lightscribe cost extra $??, can the fingerprint thingy be shut off/disabled?

Light scribe costing more im not sure if i should say yes or no, cause i pretty much built it to my liking. So everything pretty much cost more. The finger print thing im almost certain it can be turned off otherwise how would it initially be programmed.

Your are getting what your paying for...So, effectivly, lightscribe does not cost more....or, cost more than what? And yes, the finger print scanner can be disabled if you dont want to use...

Sounds good... I think the big consideration w/ lightscribe is whether or not you're willing to pay the extra for the media (the drive is only $10-$20 more than a plain one, I think - at least for a full size one, the markup is minimal).

I'd worry about if you can add memory in the future or not (preferably w/o tossing waht you already have). Vista is a memory pig. It has a Godzilla sized footprint.

I Received it today 2 days early :) I'm Loving it! The built in webcam is amazing btw takes CRISP pictures. I heard some people had problems with the built ins before mines great. Loving it. Still getting the hang of this vista tho. Not sure if i like it yet.
