hi
I have a 78 gal planted community tank. I currently have 6 bolivian rams, 5 rasbora, a bushynose, and some otos. I just had a platy explosion and I want to get rid of them and find something else colorful. My ph is 7.8 and the water is on the hard side. I have not done well with cardinals or blue rams.

The BF would like to get some denison barbs. I'm thinking I would probably get 5 barbs and 7 congos. Are these fish all compatible? I know the barbs swim around a lot an I wasn't sure if the congos would like that commotion. Alternatively I have thought of getting boesmanis instead.

How easy are the denisons and congos to keep? Has anyone kept them together?

i think theyd do good together. congos are very active also. if you need some congos i have 4 for sale. 30.00 shipped.

IMO, they would get along just fine. They will make your 78gal tank look small later.

allaboutfish I might take you up on that. I'm going on vacation soon so I cant get anything until May.

I have 3 congo tetras and 2 Denison barbs that are shoaling along with 3 brilliant rasboras! They appear to get along just fine in my 40b. I do hope to upgrade to a 75g later on...
