Console Tv Fish Tank

My wife has asked me to turn our old console tv into a fishtank and we have some unique ideas on how to house our various creatures in it. We would like to have different areas of the tank designed to house and protect fry in the tank as well as a dry area for our crayfish and frogs. We would like to design the rock structure ourselves and test our ideas but we were curious if there was some software out there that would allow us to build a model on our computer before actually building the aquarium.

Some points we need to be able to test

-Custom inflow arrangment for filtration system
-Rock design
-Substrate and plant placement
-co2 injection system
-species barrier design

If anyone has any ideas they would me muchly appretiated
 
Actually no we are planning on lining the tv with custom fit glass. I havent gutted the tv yet so I am not sure how we are going to get it all to work. but we want to keep the bubble on the front and build in some portals for different areas of the tank. I also want a way to automate the cleaning as much as possible,
 
Sorry it is a large floor model console tv beutiful woodwork Once it is cleaned up from the artwork our three kids have applied. I love the box and we love our collection of various sea creatures so we thought we would build them a custom home in the old tv. :)
 
Here's the one I put together a few years ago.

I went simple, just pulling out the guts, putting in a 25 gallon tall tank, and wiring the lighting with the TV's switches. The most complicated part was opening up the top for access.

The only filtration that would fit was a canister, because of the low clearance at the top of the tank.

When I try to lay things out, I often use a standard graphics program like adobe illustrator or corel draw, but there are certainly better design programs out there.
 
we are actually going with a canister type system because we want to be able to draw from various points in the tank and at different rates. for example the crayfish caves can be cleaned out by having inflow pipes built right into the caves they will occupy. as well I want a area on onside top to be a sunken dry area (terrarium) accesible from the main tank for our crayfish and frogs. and since our paradise fish seem to breed so often I want an area for them to build the bubble nests and to isolate the fry with screens to prevent the larger fish from getting access. I know sounds like a grand plan but I think we can do it so I am exploring our options.

I worried a bit, but they're remarkably sturdy. Remember that they held a giant B&W picture tube for 50 years. Just to be sure, I did the first fill in the laundry room near a floor drain. It's been set up for more than 3 years now, and it's still steady.
 
I think that looks great. We have a model where the frame is right on the floor so we dont need to wrry about legs. it is 3.5 feet high 2.5 feet wide and 5 feet across (approx) I think it will look great once it is done i will post a pic after we move of what we are working with.
