The only thing I would like to add about salt is that the clown loaches might/will lose their vibrant colors when salt is used on them. I have a one survival of an ich outbreat from 8 months ago and the colors on the loach are faded, yellows and blacks.
Filtration always comes to mind. For a tank that size I would use two canisters, assuming you're using a canister already.

My geophagus are all happy eating & going about normality ... I have 1 canister filter that 1200-litres per hour ... tank is clean as a whistle Ammonia, Nitrite & Nitrate zero temp 28C, but something is not right .. I wish I could wake up & discover this was a dream ...
