They've been successful bringing up live young 4 out of the 6 times that they've spawned. The other failed attempts nothing ever hatched. Every time that they're successful I usually just vacuum them up, but im going to try to keep some of them this time and put them in a spare tank I have. The female always lays eggs on the same piece of driftwood every time.

So far ive just been vacuuming them up whent he fry were floating around in the past. I didnt have a spare tank at the time, so I couldn't deal with more fish. If these actually survive, im going to try to keep a few in a separate tank that I have laying around. Just curious to see what will happen with them.

Cool, should be interesting to see what they look like. Glad you're not planning on dispersing the offspring.

Well I had to get rid of the offspring in the past, I just didn't have the room for it and the aggression in my tank was just crazy when the fry started to float around. But now that I do have a spare tank, I hope to get something interesting out of it. The last time they had fry, only about 10 of them survived before I had to disperse of them, a lot get picked off by the other fish in the tank also I think. But im just looking to save a few at the very least.

Congrats!

Definately keep us updated with the fry! Can't wait to see them as they progress.
