well I wanna try to breed convicts right now I have a male and I was woundering if I was gonna get 3 females and wait until my male pairs off with one of them I've already got a big cave I made out of rocks so will this method work

Kevin...I'm not exactly sure what you're asking so...
When the male has paired off with one of the females, the two of them will protect their eggs. They are excellent parents. When you notice them doing this, remove the two females.
When ours bred, we noticed that the male became rather aggressive toward the female after the fish were born. We removed her, then the male once the fry was free swimming.
