:omg: I have about 100 Convict Cichlids for adoption. They are anywhere from 1/2" to 2". Most have reached maturity. I can pick out several females most of which are ready to breed. These are high quality proven breeder Convicts! I normally take my babies into the fish store as trade-ins but I just have way too many and the fish store has already taken as many as they can. These guys are great if you would like to try your hand in breeding fish... they breed readily and frequently and they're amazing to watch as they are caring for their young. I'm asking $1.00 per fish. I also would like to get rid of the parents. They are 4ish inches. I've had them for a year and they have been breeding consistently every 2 weeks. I would like $25.00 for the both of them.

I have never shipped fish before and wouldn't have a clue where to start so I would prefer if they could be picked up. If you're interested in several and want them shipped, I can certainly look into shipping them. If I do ship them, shipping will be actual cost plus actual cost of shipping materials and would be shipped via UPS or FedEx to ensure quick turn-around.

Contact me for pictures. I will post them on here later when I have time to take some new pictures. The ones that I have from a week ago aren't very good since these guys are growing like weeds!

Update & Pictures

I just wanted to update and post some pictures of the "babies" that I took last night. The adults are pending pick up but if that falls through I will update on that on Monday. Here are pictures... PLEASE someone take some of these guys!! They are cramped and I can't buy another tank for them. I don't know what else to do! :help2:

Ok, I've tried a couple of times to post the pictures but I guess I just don't know how! To see the pictures go here: http://picasaweb.google.com/Hiya.n.Crim/100407_Fish

Hey Druu,

I wish I would be but unfortunately I'm never really in that area. I'm actually from Michigan but living in Maryland and I do travel to Michigan at least once a month. I'll probably be going in 2-3 weeks. It would be on a weekend. If I were to take them to Michigan with me you'd have to pick them up in Albion, Mi 49224. I'm not sure how far that is from you. I would need some sort of guarantee that you'd pick them up once they are there. Let me know if that's something that you'd like to consider. If it is we can discuss it when I figure out what weekend I will be going.

Also, just a little tidbit.... I have 3 breeding pairs now. I just noticed more eggs tonight. Doh!!

You might try the local Craig's List. I had 4 little convicts that my son brought home on the last day of school. I kept them all summer and they are fun fish to watch. But I couldn't keep them any longer and the stores had too many, so I offered them for free on Craig's list. Three people contacted me immediately and a nice lady came and got them.

I have actually had them listed on Craig's List for months. Most people say they want them and don't show up. Very irritating!! I had someone call me and tell me that he was on his way and asked me to have them ready to go for him since he wanted 20 and it would take some time to catch them all. Silly me, caught 20 fish and bagged them up. Wouldn't you know he NEVER showed up nor did he call!!

Oh, how rude! And those convicts are hard to catch. (....must... resist... bad... joke...)

You do have your address on your house, right?? LOL

Good morning Natosha

I remember when I had too many! My gosh, once they start breeding, watch out! I loved to watch how their colors changed! The little babies are survivors; hardy, that's for sure.

As an Oscar(s) owner, I'd take free ones :) ... so you might want to rethink the Free-Free-Free.

Good luck!!!
