Convict Fry

I'm going to buy a breeding pair of convicts this weekend for my 20 gallon long.

I'm going to use the fry as food for my birchirs and leaf fishes.

How big do the fry need to be before they are worthy of food? How many days will this normally take?

Also I use the 20 to breed snails for the loaches. Will convicts eat snails?

Not that I've had an overabundance of snails yet.I guess I don't overfeed them enough.

I usually feed my Convict fry to my big tank when they are about half an inch.This usually takes about two months

I have two mystery snails in with my breeding Convicts,and the Convicts don't seem to bother with the snails.

At any rate,Get ready for hundreds of Convict fry,and very quickly.
