But still no eggs. It kind of reminds me of the red devil pair of cichlids I had several months ago. They only laid eggs twice till I separated them with a divider. It's been at least 3-4 days since they paired up and the female still doesn't look plumper but still looks extremely healthy. I know I may be a nuisance for asking this again but I would really like a good estimation when they might breed. I'm curious and excited about this and I know everybody would understand this.

I bet within the next week they'll lay eggs for you. Just keep feeding them good.

mine were paired up for about almost 2 weeks with no eggs ( ive desperaty looked and found no eggs either ) so i got rid of them and 1 other bigger black convict and got 3 pink convicts kept 2 smaller blacks and got one big female ( almost 3 inches ) and now im glad i did my pinks are pigs and there also wonderful but im not interesting in breeding anymore like i was since i got my green terror and black belt.. they take up my time.

Well. Ya'll might think I'm incredibly stupid, but there are 8 two spot gouramis that are doing awesome as a dither fish or target fish. The gouramis stay away from them while at the same time don't seem to be stressed out at all. They are always out in the open swimming happily even if the male convict ( which is the main attacker ) strikes at them from time to time. They may lay eggs soon.
