Any chance a convict and a rainbow fish could co-exist together in a 25 gallon tank, just the two of them? The convict is young, about 1 inch and a friend wants to give me the most beautiful boseman (is that the spelling?) rainbow, also fairly small, about 1.5 inches. My 20 gal community tank is complete with two rainbows and 4 blackskirt tetras and 4 serpae tetras so I I don't think I can use him in there, but darn is this fish pretty, I'd love to take him. Thoughts? Thanks you all.:dance2:

I have three boseman rainbow babies in a 10 gallon with an electric blue cichlid (he's about 1.5"), they've been together for a month and no problems so far, but I know I'll have to separate them eventually. At my local Big Al's they have a 100 gallon stocked with Africans and about 10 rainbows, no problems for over 2 years there. I would say you'd be ok for a while.

It could work mostly due to the convict not really being able to catch up to a top dwelling fast swimmer like the rainbow.

great, I'm gonna try it..thanks!
