ty^_^ i hope so...im so excited....yes i know its just convicts and they breed easy..i just cant stay away from the tank for very long^_^ iv never done egg layers on purpose..i had a pare of angles a few years back that spawned like crazy..then eat the wiggelrs i was not set up for it or ready for fry so it was best at the time.
cant wait to see the fry swimming around!.....lol cant wait even more to watch my sculpin hunt them^_^.

I have wigglers!!!!!!! over 100 from what i can see..she moved them as soon as they hatched..spent all day running back and forth..she has nestled them in to a bowel shape in the log with anubia leaves hanging over it. she is a very good mom so far!
Dad has dug pits all around the tank..and my pennywort is now a floating plant..grr lol anyway, he seems like he wants to help..swims over and fans at the wigglers until she notices him and gets chased away..he will attack the glass if i get near as will she.
soo much fun to watch..cant wait till they are free swimming.

^_^ they are growing pretty fast, i can see eyes and they are hopping around a bit...mom looks frustrated and is digging another pit..she is now letting the male around the nest and even letting him help yay!

20 days old.... im thinking 200+ they are eating crushed flakes and micro worms,and parts of the bloodworms the parents get
most of them have started to darken up and get markings sorta but there is a handfull still very bright pink!

It looks more like your convicts tail was cut mate, just doesn't seem natural. Good luck with the fry, will be interested to see if she really does have deformities.
yeah cant tell with the fry yet but they all look to have tails, oh well she is well taken care of now^_^ and a good momma
forgot to mention i had fry take a trip up threw my HOB...noticed during a water change, so i dumped about 15 still alive! out
and put a sponge over the intake !

its strange it seems i have some pink cons in the mix! alittle under half i would say, some have splotchy lines, some have dark bold lines and others have horizontal lines ?... a strange mix from to normal cons? than again the female is very pink/purple all the time so maybe she is from mixed genetics? ..hmm dunno ...pics soon.

little update of mom and dad...some new pics and rearranged tank, a few shots of there fry (both pink and black)...and they are already on to round two ^_^.
