I have 3 convict Cichlids I would like to give away for FREE to a good home. I'm down sizing on my number of tanks right now, and would like to consolidate a few tanks into this one.
They have been home raised since they were born, hatched from eggs in another of my tanks. Their parents came from different stores, One from The Aquarium in Concord (now out of business) and the other from All About Fish also in Concord. The male is about 4.5", big and black, and the females are 2.5" and 3.5" with pretty good orange coloring. They are in my 55g tank now. Both females lay eggs regularly about every 3-4 weeks, but never get fertilized because they lay them where the male can never get to because he's a lot bigger than them. They almost never fight, and are in a community type of 55g tank with 3 sun catfish and 3 australian rainbowfish.
Like I said before I would like to find them a good home, in a fairly nice sized tank. I would also let them go single as well, if you only want 1 or 2 of the 3.
I will take pictures if anyone is interested in them.
