OK, so I have access to tadpoles that were captured in the wild via a friend. I have already gone through the "you shouldn't have taken them" and "you should put them back" speeches with the keeper of them, but end result is that there are 10-20 tadpoles living at my house in a 10 gallon tank. What to do...

I know that there are always concerns about exposing fish to outside diseases, etc. Has anyone had experience with tadpoles?

Would these be safe to feed to my cichlid?

Are they the little black toad tadpoles? If so most fish find them bad to eat. I never had luck getting any of my cichlids or native game fish to eat them.

Unless the fish is a bass, I do not think it will eat it.

An oscar may eat them.

Well I popped a super small one in the tank last night and my convict swallowed it whole. I don't think I will be feeding him anymore, but it was interesting in any case.
