Convicts have eggs

I have a 2 1/2" male, and a 2' female with eggs. I have 4 very young convicts (1" and less) that still are running all over the tank, but the the bigger convicts have my 4 red eyed tetras jammed up in a corner.
Here is my question, how long are them poor tetras going to be jammed up in that corner??, I really feel sorry for them. :-(
I guess that is what I get for adopting fish from friends when they grow tired of them. All I wanted in that tank was convicts and maybe a pair of firemouths.

My tank: 40g long
my Fish: Breeding pair of convicts,
4 very young convicts,
and 4 red eyed tetras 1.5" to 2"
 
I wouldnt keep tetra with convicts, I dont know if they are compatable but convicts are very boistrious fish and may harass the tetra to the point of death

The tetras will be jammed into the corner until the convicts feel like killing them. The other convicts will probably be killed to. They other fish in the tank my be ok now, but once the eggs hatch and the fry become free swimming the parents will get even more aggressive.
 
The first day they went in the tank one of the convicts nipped a tale of the biggest tetra. I think it was to say get the heck outa my home area. Ever sense then there have been no problems because the tetras don't go near the couples domain.
Now that there are eggs, maybe even babys, (I can't see in there)
the poor tetras mainly stay in the corner, they do move about though when the male ain't out and about.
What I see more agression with is the 4 young cons. They just seem to like to be chased because just as soon as dad or mom chases them out, they just move back in. I've often wondered who is faster, the juviniles or the older 2.
I've been watching the tank more today, they seem to come outa the corner more then the have in the last 2 days, and at feeding time they are out with all the rest of them, but as soon as the food is gone they head back to the corner.
At night they used to divide the tank in quarters, and sleep at the top just below the surface. Now it is in just the left half of the tank, retreating to the corner at first light. Poor Tetras.

If there are eggs then those tetras are going to need to be moved or they may very well end up being killed.

I got off work tonight and been sitting in the living room, watching the tank. I notice that the tetras are now out free swiming all over the tank. The convicts pay absolutly no attention to them, and turn there agresson twards the juvies. I do see that the juvies are starting to hang out on the left side of the tank, opposite side of the bigger cons. I don't know why, but the only agression I have ever seen twards the tetras was the day I dropped them in the tank. I have never seen the breeding pair pay any attention to them otherwise. If it comes down to it I'll find a new home for them, but I do think they will be ok.
I'm hopeing anyway. I have something at the mid-level of the tank with them in there.
 
Perhaps the juvies are a bigger threat at the moment.
 
Let there be swimmers, about 25 of them.
I've been begging them for 2 days now to bring out
the babys and finally they did. WhooHoo.... :dance2:
