I am thinking I may soon upgrade my main freshwater plant tank to a larger tank and put my goldfish in my 75G tank once the swap is done. I dont intend on running CO2, and probably around 2wpg, although if I leave the canopy the way it is now its set up for ~3wpg. I currently have 2 shubunkins and 4 orange& white comets, and I'll probably put my 3 dojo loaches in there too. I would like to have plenty of plants in there that can do well in cool water (it will be unheated) and dont need CO2 (although I can use flourish excel if needed). The average temp of the goldfish now is low-mid 60's in the winter months and low 70's in the summer months.
Here is some plants that fell in the temp range when I did a quick search on my online fish store I usually use. Has anyone ever had a room-temp planted aquarium and can recommend some good plants? Here are the ones I found with min temps in F indicated:
Java Fern (64*)
Anacharis(50*)
Jungle Val(59*)
Amazon and other Sword(59-64*)
Dwarf Sagittaria(59*)
Moneywort(59*)
