EXCITING NEWS-- 2 weeks ago we ordered a purple tree coral online. When it arrived, the "head" had seperated from the "stump." We decided that rather than assuring the coral's death by return shipping it, we would place both in the tank.... THE HEAD HAS ATTATCHED TO THE LIVE ROCK AND THE STUMP IS GROWING !!!!!:dance:
 
been trying to get pics but I ordered it as a frag and it is kinda little... the "head" wandered towards the back a little. Good for when it grows but lousy for pic purposes. The stump still looks like a stump, but a healthy stump if I do say so myself.
 
:grinyes:I am so happy that I took my daughter's advice... she told me that alot of the tree corals can grow back from almost nothing. So glad I didn't kill the little guy by sending him back. I will listen to her from now on I SWEAR!!
 
wow thats awesome!!!! ur so lucky! tree corals are expensive, and since my lfs doesnt sell any frags, I am stuck saving up for one. I am planning on adding one myself.

what you could do since your lfs doesnt sell frags save up and buy a bunch of corals of the internet and if you buy enough than you would get free shipping!
