NO MAKING THE JESTER LAUGH SLAPPY!!! <LMFAO at that one>

Crunchy? That stuff is more than crunchy! It's like ground glass on my sensitive gums! (anyone else get that with the captain?)
Yep definitely feels like glass on the gums. I have to agree with that. How can it NOT stay crunchy?

alright... i voted crush... because that turtle is awesome!

but the fact that spongebob is in the lead, sickens me... I DONT GET WHY PEOPLE LIKE THAT STUPID SPONGE!!! the cartoon is mind numbingly annoying and is marketed for people of the ages of six and under! it is the epitome of the downhill spiral of American cartoons! next to the fact that every other cartoon that is shown now is Japanese in origin it seems!

ok... glad thats out.... :hang:

My artistic sensibilities are offended by that picture, and for a minute I couldn't figure out what was bothering me about it.

Anyone else notice her legs are proportionally WAY too short? What is that, fish woman anatomy? I must have missed that day in figure drawing class.

I hate bad comic book art, because I know I can do better! Marvel, DC, Darkhorse, Image, where are you guys? If you're employing people who can't draw I'll happily take over! I hear the hours are long and the pay is junk, but it's probably still fun...

ok, i see what you are talking about, its more noticeable because in EVERYTHING else, the legs are exaggerated (just look at anything marketed for girls, or even in classical art the statue of David's legs are too long) long legs look 'right' to us for some reason

her legs look to short, because her head is too big!, making her torso a little larger as well (larger neck and shoulders to make up for the large head) by making the head larger, it makes her look like a villain to us (yes the comic book drawers DID have a little knowledge in psychology, even if not directly, they had a good sense of what proportions would to to the look of the picture)
so don't let your drawing senses tingle! there is a reason for it, and its not poor artwork! its done on purpose!

I voted for Sebastian to be different...

But how could I forget the the Sealab crew?!?!?!?!?!

Right there with ya, Lobo. I stand proud to say that I have never seen a Spongebob Squarepants tv cartoon or movie. However, I am still bombarded by his image at school--yes, high school students still love cartoon characters.

Lobo, I agree with all the leg distortion stuff (jeez, Barbie!) except----for----Michelangelo's David. M purposefully exaggerated legs, hands, other features as the piece of marble was so long, and he saw David in the entire length. This resulted in a statue people had to look up to, and in order for it to look in proportion, he had to compensate. The Greeks did the same kind of thing to the columns on the Parthenon so they would look in proportion (sorry to sound so pedantic, but I minored in Art History!!) :o

Aquaman for sure. Hall of Justice rocks!! Aquaman was my first cartoon crush - that blonde hair, those tight green pants Deeee-lish!!
