what fishes can handle temperatures in the 60's?

Be carefull when recommending goldfish, pond goldfish (commets, feeder fish, koi, etc.) can handle temps in the 60's but fancy goldfish (fish that most avid goldfish keepers keep) should have a water temperature of around 74-75 degrees F.

Good call, afg. I am writing a profile on the Goldfish for a site with which I am involved, and that will be one of my main points. :)

...as well as cherry barbs, ringed loaches, paradise fish, darters, and several killis....

GOLDFISH... BAH..
Here is a list of fish that would be perfect for a cool water tank.

Elassoma okeefenokee (Pygmy sunfish)
Heterandria Formosa (least killiefish)
Jordanella floridae (flag fish)
Lucania goodie (bluefin Killie)
Gambusia affinis affinis or holbrooki (western and easter mosquito fish
Fundulus chrysotus (golden topminnow).
Fundulus lineolatus (Lined Topminnow)
Notemigonus crysoleucas (Golden Shiner)
Pteronotropis hypselopterus (sailfin Shiner)

I thought this might be a more interesting list than the usual crowd. The pymy sunfish are for the more experienced fish keepers, since they require live foods. But always check out your bait shops, you can find some really cool fish in their holding tanks.
But if you want more common fan fair, try these also, pumpkinseeds, rosie reds/fat head minnows.
