I would like to say thanks for the assistance with my other tread on stocking, and due to the responses I have spent several hours trying to find info on coral. Most of the sites I check have information on prepping rocks for your tank, or on how to arrange rocks in your tank, but nothing about the kinds of rocks (like coral).
I would like to stock my tank with mostly barbs, but was warned that barbs and coral might not mix. If anyone knows about the effect coral might have on barbs, or can give me a website with the info I would be grateful. I am prepared to change the ground cover from coral to gravel, but would rather avoid the expense if it is not necessary.
The tank in question is 55g and has previously held oscars and some other kind of small fish (the guy who sold me the tank told me the name but I have forgotten) neither were effected by the coral, but then they were not barbs.
I would appreciate any and all help ( as well as personal opinions about the kinds of barbs you like).
