coral beauty and flame angles

It would be very difficult to keep these two Centropyge species together in anything less than a 200+ gallon tank imo and even then it would be hit and miss i think.

i think it's possible in a larger system (at least 75g) if you introduce them at the same time and they are similar sizes. it is always a risk however.

Seeing how my flame was with my Tang, I wouldn't risk adding those 2 angels together.

Though it is commonly not recommended, it can be done...depending on the fishes' personalities. I've done it in the past without issue, but 9 times out of 10 it probably would just end in death for the more docile fish. I currently house an extremely 'spirited' Flame Angel in my 75g that attacks pretty much anything when it feels the need. I wouldn't even think about putting another dwarf Angel in with him. You could try it, but be prepared to remove one of them if problems should arise.

Thanks for the adivice guys i know its not recomended buy just wondered if anyone had success its a 90 gallon tank with 40 pounds of live rock have not added anything to the tank yet

what are your plans for the tank? sounds like you are a bit short on the LR, do you plan on getting more before getting fish? have your started cycling? inquiring minds want to know

Used to have five angel fish in my tank a coral beauty, bi-colour angel, a flame angel, koran and a blue angelfish of different sizes with no problems whatsoever. My tank size is 100 gallons at present but used to be only 60 gallons and i still had no problems with all these fish. I lost my flame angel, koran and blue angel due to a horrible outbreak of many diseases. i now just have the bi clour and coral beauty and they are still the best of buds.

I added a Cream Angle to my 75 gallon tank that had and Ebli Angle who had been in the tank for 4 months. I placed the new angle in a plastic box, with vents for water flow, left him in the box for about two days. The Ebli did his little dance of aggression and picked at the box for a while but got use to it and when I released the Cream angle into the tank they showed a little aggression but are now buddies and team up on my flame hawk every now and then. However, I will point out that my Ebli was not overly aggressive from the start so I would say the personality of the fish plays a role in this type of success.
