Yeah I ran myself in the hole so I just bought the fixture to get me by for the first year then I bought the ballast and light later when I had the money. I am going to do the same for my 150 gal. when I get back to work (if I get to go back to work, I hate being laid off). I found that it is cheaper to buy the fixture then upgrade it later then go and buy a decent one from places like dfs or marine depot (the fixture I am going to get is going to cost me around $1000 when I'm done or I pay $1500 for a one that just has a little better ballast then the fixture before I upgrade it).
